Nicholai Khan - "Art is Everything to Me"

We are thrilled to have Nicholai Khan exhibit some of his magical art work in BKG. For those of you who have never heard of Nicholai Khan, you are in for a special treat.  His pieces are influenced by the bright colors and celebrations of his Caribbean hometown,Trinidad & Tobago, the street and pop art surrounding New York City, and the masters Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and Andy Warhol. His art work has been featured in prestigious galleries in NYC, Paris and London. And he recently  collaborated on the album cover for LL Cool J.   He's not only a talented artist but also a humble community advocate, proactively mentoring aspiring artists in his local Queens neighborhood.  Stop by the shop to...

Black Artstory ARtwalk - Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn

Myrtle Avenue's Black Artstory Month officially kicked off this past Sunday, February 1st with an Avenue-wide Artwalk featuring the work of over 25 local artists. Please stop by the Brewklyn Grind (557 Myrtle Avenue) to check out some of  Shaakir Thomas' colorful art work which is currently on display. Holiday Tree Lighting in Fort Greene Park on Sunday, December 7th at 4pm

After a 9 month dance with a formidable opponent (you know who you are)….we are proud to report that our flag ship store officially opens for business today September 15th. We managed to round up an incredible crew that shares our passion for coffee and community. We are located at 557 Myrtle Avenue (between Classon & Emerson), in Brooklyn. If you're in the hood, peep the coffee, the decor and the hidden treasure out back. Aside from our wicked brews, we will be serving up some delicious locally baked goodies from Balthazar and Ovenly.
